Around years 16 and 17 of her marriage, Sherley and her husband Kalief hit the moment most people call the end of the story: infidelity. Instead of walking away, she stripped away everything else — the kids, the house, the years — and asked herself one honest question: was she still in love with him? The answer was yes, and that became the starting point for rebuilding trust from the ground up, through transparency and counseling.
Rebuild is exactly what happened next. Once Sherley and Kalief stopped avoiding the hard conversations, they had to construct a new foundation instead of patching the old one — trust, confidence, and identity, rebuilt on purpose rather than by default. This pillar isn’t about pretending the break never happened; it’s about proving something stronger can be built from the pieces.
Key Takeaway: Rebuilding trust isn’t about going back to what you had — it’s about building something stronger than what broke.
